Sparkling Mistletoe Cosmo. Vodka mixed with Cointreau (orange liqueur), sweet pomegranate juice, and lime juice and topped with bubbly champagne. And just before serving, add pomegranate arils and sugared rosemary to make each drink special for the season. A sparkly festive Christmas punch thatโ€™s wonderfully delicious. If no alcohol is preferred, mix up my mocktail variation. Everyone will love this punch at your next holiday party! ‘Tis the season!

I told you that I was excited for this season’s Christmas cocktails. Today’s cocktail feels so fun, festive, and special! And the best part is it’s so easy. It seems I get the most excited over the simplest recipes, but really, aren’t they the best!

This fun cosmo was all thanks to my cousin Maggie. She suggested a mistletoe cosmo as one of this year’s Christmas drinks. As soon as she mentioned it to me, I took the idea and ran with it. This is my first cosmo, but not my last.

I love the simplicity of this drink.

The only thing I knew for sure was that my cosmo needed to be festive. Pomegranate juice was high on my list of ingredients, plus sugared rosemary to make each drink special. Oh, and topping the combo with champagne, I knew that would complete the drink.

My Cosmo Punch turned out so good. I’m really excited to share the recipe with you all. You can make this with alcohol or without. Both recipes are equally loved!

Special Tools

Nothing, just a glass pitcher to mix your holiday punch!

Steps

Step 1: mix the punch

There’s nothing fancy or fussy about this punch. Itโ€™s a mix of everything we love most about wintertime and the holidays.

First, mix up the base of the punch: Vodka, Cointreau (orange liqueur), pomegranate juice, and lime juice. A traditional cosmo has vodka, Cointreau, cranberry juice, and lime juice. I swapped out the cranberry juice for pomegranate juice, mainly because I prefer the sweeter taste of pomegranates.

If you are mixing up the mocktail version, use pomegranate juice, orange juice, lime juice, and apple cider vinegar.

Chill the punch until you’re ready to serve.

Step 2: add the bubbles

When you’re ready to serve guests, you can add ice to your punch bowl and pour over the champagne.

If you’re mixing up the mocktail, pour over the ginger beer.

Although champagne is not traditional, I adore the sparkle and sweetness it naturally adds to each drink.

Step 3: serve

I love to make each drink special with a sprig of sugared rosemary and a handful of pomegranate arils.

It’s so pretty!

Iโ€™m planning to make this cosmo for upcoming Christmas parties. It’s crazy that we’re already a full week into December. Holiday parties are in full swing!

Kick off the holiday week in the best way possible with a festive holiday cocktail in hand!

We made both versions and the were both very tasty, but the alcoholic version was extremely strong. Next time I would cut the vodka in half and perhaps use more juice. Keeping it for next yearโ€™s holiday celebration.

  4. I was able to print this recipe the other evening for the alcoholic version for 4 servings. Now I wish to print it again for4 2 servings, but it keeps taking me to the Mock version! Help, I need this by tomorrow!

    1. Hi Lynn,

Made this for our neighborhood celebration last night and it was a HUGE hit! It’s delicious and festive looking, I amped it up by making large ice cubes with cranberry and rosemary embedded. Pro tip-when your friends ask you to make a second pitcher, don’t do it! There’s a lot of alcohol in these babies. But worth it.

    1. Hey Marilyn,
Awesome!! So glad to hear you enjoyed this recipe, thanks so much for making it! Have the best weekend! xxT

  7. Sounds amazing,
Can’t print the cocktail recipe though unfortunately…. Both the print links only print the mocktail recipe. Be awesome if this could be fixed๐Ÿฅณ

  8. Hi! I want to make this recipe for a Christmas dinner, however, I am unsure if the ginger beer bottles for the mocktail version is small 500ml bottles or larger 1 liter bottles? Also: can the champagne be substituted by non-alcoholic champagne in the mocktail version? Please advise. Thanks!

    1. Hi Marmari,
I used the small bottles of ginger beer for this recipe. Yes, you could totally use NA champagne! Please let me know if you have any other questions! Cheers! xT

  9. Hi! Going to make this for a work party tomorrow. What cost-friendly alternatives would you suggest for Cointreau??

  10. Hi!
Can you add the champagne or Prosecco to the individual glass instead of pouring in a punch bowl? And what are measurements for an individual cosmopolitan? Thanks so much!

    1. Hi Jenn,
If you want to do just a single serving, you can adjust the serving size to 1 and the ingredients will adjust for you. I hope this helps! Cheers! xx

    2. Did you make your ice cubes with champagne for the glasses? Thinking maybe adding a few pomegranate arilsโ€ฆ

    1. Hey Kristen,
Happy Holidays!! Iโ€™m so glad you enjoyed this recipe and appreciate you making it! Thanks for your comment:) xx

  11. I really appreciate that youโ€™ve been including mocktail versions of each of your cocktails lately. However, I feel that the use of ginger beer with itโ€™s distinctive flavor really makes this mocktail into something else vs a mocktail version of the original recipe. A seltzer, flavored seltzer, sparkling cider, or sparkling white grape juice could have all delivered the bubbles while maintaining the same flavor profile as the alcoholic version.

    1. Hi Alex,
Thanks for sharing your feedback, you can always make the recipes to your liking:) I just share what I love and what worked best for me! Happy Holidays! xx

I made the mocktail for Christmas eve with the ginger beer and it was amazing. Other guests heartily approved as well. I also used the sugared rosemary which was very easy to prep. I rinsed the rosemary and dipped it in granulated sugar. They looked like snowy Christmas trees. The garnishes really are so simple and yet impressive.

        1. Hi Gina,
Wonderful! Iโ€™m so glad this recipe turned out nicely for you, thanks for making it! Merry Christmas!!๐ŸŽ„๐ŸŽโ˜ƒ๏ธ
